Born in New York City, he has lived in the South for more than 25 years. Dr. Butler presently lives in the Columbia, South Carolina area with his wife Crystal L. Butler. They have four children Andrea, Dejon, Xavier, and Audreuna. He has an extended blended family with 5 combined grandchildren and 3 Foster Daughters. Dr. Butler is a graduate of Watson Chapel High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He has his BA in Psychology from Webster University, BA in Health Science from Columbia, and has attended Northwestern University, the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff, Maryland University, and Erskine University. Dr. Butler has received his Ph.D. and Master’s degree from Cenfield School of Religion, where he was an Associate Professor of Old Testament Religion.
