Poetry is vastly gaining the right momentum and awareness lately. But it was not so many years ago when major part of the poems in this book were written. I was the drama Coordinator of the Drama Group of the Church then in our local Church. Drama and Song were their love, never Poetry for the conveying of the Christian message. I have to write a form of poetry for the group that would appeal to the sensibilities of the people. Sensibilities based on the visual, clear pictures, word sounds and repetitive words with rhythms and musical effects. And it paid off. For we attracted great following and great spiritual impact. The major parts of this collections are from those earlier experiences. The Rhythms of the Roadmaker is therefore specifically put to appeal to the ordinary folks in the church and lovers of poetry generally. Hopefully it is seen and received in this light Poetry is very significant in God’s language of expressions as seen in Job,Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and significant writings of the Prophets. Telling the symbolic representation of God’s mind in a beautiful way and mood towards unveiling the essence of life.
